Victoria Gardens Shopping Center

Rancho Cucamonga

The Mobility Group provided transportation consulting services to the project developer and the City of Rancho Cucamonga for all on-site transportation for the Victoria Gardens Project.  This project, which now comprises the long-awaited downtown location for the City, comprises up to 2.45 million sf of commercial uses, 600 residential units, and civic and cultural uses, in an open-air "main street" setting.  The Mobility Group conducted extensive analysis including traffic simulation models to  demonstrate the feasibility of two-lane street layouts and configurations, and internal traffic and pedestrian circulation to calm traffic and, to develop a walkable pedestrian-oriented environment modeled on a traditional small town center.  We also conducted parking demand and shared parking supply studies to determine the appropriate parking supply, and assisted with parking layouts.  Subsequent work prepared additional shared parking studies for the City Library and Community Center at the northern side of the site.
